Be extra cautious and educate your kids about farm / outdoors life
There are so many reasons why a farm or outdoors in general is a healthy place for our kids to grow up, but there are also reasons why most of us, as parents, need to be more attentive and careful when they are outside the safety of the house.
On a farm there are animals, machines, equipment, and sometimes even chemicals. You may not use pesticides and herbicides, but at least you may have to take care of your livestock’s health with certain medications.
All the above may not apply to a suburban garden, but the principle still applies.
All of these require that you are cautious and educate your kids on how to be careful themselves (if you’re not always there to keep an eye on them).
